I Already saw the movie. :) That part in the movie and in the anime are awesome, lol. Although I prefer the anime version, because it's more loyal to the book, the movie is also very good.
I just wish the world masterpiece theater would come back! They haven't made new anime since Konnichiwa Anne! I'd love for them to make anime versions of The Secret Garden, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, The Five Little Peppers, or even Toby Tyler Ten Weeks With a Circus.
What makes me sad is that there hasn't been any Western Literature adaptations in the last couple of years. We only had Emily of New Moon, Les Miserables, Porfy, and Konnichiwa Anne in the last 4 years, with the last series airing in 2009.
Yay! The (in)famous scene where Anne hits Gilbert with the slate!

I love Akage no Ann! I still lament over the idea that Nippon animation did not make Anne of Avonlea or ANne of the Island :((
ReplyDelete@Ryuji: That or even Rainbow Valley or Rilla of Ingleside. The latter would've made a great anime as it has more conflict than Anne of Green Gables.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see all the Anne books in anime.
ReplyDeleteI love it them all.
